There are positions that one could apply for or be asked to accept that require a tremendous commitment of time and effort. Like for exmple President of the free world. There are also positions in life that one chooses to undertake that are also extemely demanding both mentally and physically. For Example motherhood(Motherhood) You would have to choose one or the other because to do it RIGHT would require a 100% commitment. Would you want your heart surgeon to be working two full time jobs? Brain surgeon in one hospital full time and as he prepares you for open heart surgery, a full time heart surgeon at the hospital your at! There are companies that would fire you if they found out you were moonlighting because they expect, and pay you, to be fully committed to the postion with them. No human is cable of doing both. I don't want a "part-time" president and neither should you. Her family has all ready suffered from her lack of attendence. Maybe she would have better served her 17 year daughter, who is now an unwed expecting mother, had she not been off opposing teaching sex education and preaching family values!

What's a career woman doing having five children in the first place? That's not fair to the children.
In my personal opinion however, I would never bring an infant on the campaign trail and have him handed off to all kinds of different people, especially one with special needs.
