The debate in congress over whether or not to open up protected off shore waters for drilling is outrages! First, The drilling will NOT reduce prices because it will take years from the time the project begins before even one drop of oil hits the market! The Republicans are trying to make us all believe that will immediately lower prices. GET A GRIP! PRICE WILL FALL NOT ONE SINGLE DRIP! All it will do is give everyone a false sense that the current problem is just a temporary inconvenience.

WE MUST STOP LOOKING AT WAYS TO INCREASE OIL PRODUCTION AND DEVOUT ALL THAT "ENERGY" TO CONVERTING OUR PRESENT SYSTEMS TO OTHER MORE INVIRONMENTALLY SAFE WAYS TO MEET OR ENERGY NEEDS. The other quote "Fixes" are not going to solve our problem and will only slightly delay the inevitable disaster that awaits our continued stupidity!

Americans drove 10 billion less miles last month due to the increase in price. It would be nice to think they did that to save our planet by reducing green house gas emissions but we would be fooling ourselves to believe that. But, the bottom line is it did reduce CO2 emissions so lets start from there.
