guy,

I blame alot of our lowered moral intelligence and creative impulse to that box in the corner in every home in America.

Ron, As with a lot of things today blame is placed on something or someone that is not at fault. Is not the gun that kills its the one who pulls the trigger, Car accidents are rarely because of the car... and the "box" in the corner is in all actuallty one the greatest learning devices. And once again it is how it is used..... My Mother was way ahead of her time in thoughts and practices, she had one thing in mind after she had her first child. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, THINK, SEE and yes Watch TV. She is the reason I watch both local and international newscasts. Jeopery was a must and I don't know if you remember "The little red school house" and Marlin Perkins hosting Mutual of Omohas Wild Kingdom..... anyway you get my point. That box if not used properly can be very integence zapping too.... Joram

Joram,

I would agree that there is much on TV that is very educational - and when properly used TV can be a very educational media - unfortunately many people sit in front of their TV and let it lull them to sleep morally and mentally....

Loved Wild Kingdom!

Hey Gal, Nice to meet you. Ahhhhh The 70s, the good ole days. I time when penny candy still cost a penny. Did you know that it now costs 4 cents to make a penny! Yup, rising cost of copper, labor and BS. total cost to tax payers to make pennies is in the millions(another example of our frugal gov.) It just doesn't make "cents". There was nothing like sitting down for a wax bottle of colored ? and a candy cig. after a hard day! I wish they would bring back that commercial of the "Indian"(i think he was really Latin) canoeing down a river passing corp. run off pipes of toxic sludge pouring into the river and trash floating all around....and that single tear! I personally was effected but it's obvious I was of the minority! I am certain you too liked it...... Yep, the 70s have long since passed, that's when the darkest of shadows over the world we began to cast. If only we did not to pretend to hear even then what Mother nature was trying to say, Our world would look different today. Yup, the gold years now come to pass.......you know WHAT? THE GOLDEN YEARS CAN KISS MY %^$! Very nice of you to stop by, I hope you make a habit of it. And thanks for the memories............. peace, love, less co2, more hope less Bush. Hey Guy aka Joram
