 BLACK GOLD....TEXAS TEA....SATENS BLOOD?
Back to Full Blog

Jed and his family have had enough of Beverly Hills, their headed back to a place where they know they can survive. They have no faith in Big Oil and their never ending lies. No miracle of science or special CPR will keep this industry thats end is near....alive. Yep, go'n back to the wild and a place of family ties. A place far away from OPEC'S lies. All though the life they had, they did grow quite fond, Pretty people in pretty cloths all adorne with pretty jewels. Fancy cars and mansions. Oh, and their cement pond! The writing on the wall is so very clear to see though. It may not be to Bush but it was to even Jethro! So, they leave before the wars begin to control what oil is left. Before a time of lawlessness contolled by roving street gangs, with an MO of murder and theft. They loaded up the truck and off to the gas station for one LAST fill. Back to a simpliar life, of live and let live, knowing to keep the balance of what you take and what you give. Yep, back to nature and another place of hills. Farming, hunting, gathering and NO MORE BILLS. Sitting on her rocker, a blanket to ward the chill, Granny lets out a lil chuckle... soon she will be off to "fill'r up" Not at the station......at the Stil.

Hello Joram,
Yes, Mad Max time is not far off, if America and the rest of the world finds it impossible to make changes now, A truly creative and prophetic little story,I Prefer growing food, not hunting, its less violent, and shows respect for the other species, remember I'm a vegetarian, its my holistic choice. More Later. Sincerely Mike Tenerife

i've been thinking lately that if/when it all came crashing down, the people from the adirondacks are the people who are going to survive; they know how to fish, keeep warm, hunt, skin, grow food, what trees and plants and the lakes (pre-acid rain) give us ... it's all the civilized folks who are gonna get hit hardest ... here's to nature and back to it i say!!!!!

The Adirondacks and other wilderness areas have suffered the wrath of man too. All the earth is of one, the damage we have brought to lands far and near know not boundries. The diseases have not and will not stop at border post, town line or city limit. What may still look pristine and veiwed as promise of giving life sustanence is just a picture. And as with any picture you see only the surface.... look behind, look below and it soon apparent it's now just for show. From the webb of life we take and take and take and now we act surprised it's about to break. The "change" that our new leader has boasted of, will be as that picture of a mountian lake. But, peer just under the surface and the festering remains. "Change" has been sold to the highest bidder. True change doesn't start at the top but at the bottom. And the bottom will sit back and wait for change to be placed in their palm..... beggers of a future that will not be if the changes don't come from you and me........

Oh, Little what have we wrought....leraning nothing from that which we are taught. You are soon a teacher and a good one you'll be.... give all that have so the "little ones" will see......And maybe just maybe their future will still be.........A future. Ck out HAPPY EARTH DAY in cosmic painter april 22 2008 for a glimps just below surface.........

In this day and age, Jed Clampett would stand no chance of reaping any rewards from his lucky shot.

Tell Granny to put that moonshine in her gas tank, and her car will take off like a rocket.

Hi Joram!!

You've described heaven on earth to me in your post. It's been a goal of mine for a very long time to be totally self-sufficient.....not needing to depend on anyone or anything for my wants and/or needs. Your post sounds about as close to getting there as possible! I'm loving it!
