I would like somoene to illuminate for me how we are able to send a spacecraft 400,000,000 miles (four hundred million miles)into space, have it land on a percise spot on Mars, give it a wake up call each day, give it new tasks to perform that day and then have the information collected sent back to us. Yet, the simplest tasks needed to prevent the destruction of our eco-system and ward of our own extinction are deemed insermountable?????
