Its time we pull back and protect our homes. The security concerns regarding our homeland and terrorist desire to destroy it should change our focus. I truly believe that we are never going to root out terrorists and their evil desire to destroy our way of life. But, we can do much more to ensure that they cant hurt us in our own homes. One example and a solution to it. Our border is only a line on a map and is extremely porous. Even China could build a wall, visible from space, to completely prevent incursion from enemy. The seven hundred mile border with Mexico must be secured! Its not just an employment problem, but a deployment issue. So, i did a little calculation. If we took the 210,000 troops from Iraq and placed them along the 700 mile Mexican border we would have 300 troops every mile.(a mile is approx 3,500 feet) That's ONE SOLDIER EVERY TEN FEET! I think that would just about do it! Oh, and it would cost a lot less than than 2 billion/wk so the savings would allow our gov. to provide health care to every man women and child. Republican now stands for-Ramped ethics problem utterly blatant. lacking intestinal fortitude is creating angry nation! In honor of shark week(Discovery Chan)There are on the average, 70 shark attacks worldwide annually resulting in 7 deaths. Meanwhile we kill one hundred (100 million )sharks per year. Yes, thats not a typo-100,000,000! Most are killed just for their dorsal fin. Its a delicacy in the far east. They are killed, the fin is cut off and the rest is just tossed back into the sea. While still alive(it takes too much time for the fishermen to have to kill each one and besides they will drown soon once thrown back they must move to breath.)who should fear whom? And when you think of the billions of people who enter their world each day, swimming, surfing, scuba etc. etc. they are really not any threat to us..... only us to them.
