I was inspired to write this after reading the recent post of Mikeholistic. I recommend you all check it out. The intro to the Declaration of Independence states that, "All men are created equal, endowed by their creator(no mention it has to be a specific one)with certian inaliable rights. Among those are the rights to Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." That a Government is to be established by those(we the people)whose rights those are. To protect those rights. That in the event that the government elected by them(we the people), fails to protect or in worse cases(like now) actually contributes to the loss of those rights, then it is also has the right to remove said government and replace with a new one.
What does it "really" mean? I know that what was entended by those great men (Founding Fathers) is a far cry from what is actually the picture of today. First, as far as being "created" equal. Obviously they ment when it comes to just plan and simple rights. Ask any women and they will be more than happy to "illuminate" for you that all men are not "endowed" by their creator equal! LIFE today for many, probably the majority, is a struggle that can reduce a person to a seemingly never ending process of trying to just get by. Exsistence not life! LIBERTY can be summed up as, what ever they give or as in todays world taken away from you, under the guise of "homeland security" and laws enacted like the Patriots act. Funny how the word "Patiots" is used to justify removing your civil liberties. Big brother was not the brain child of the Fathers of our Nation. The collection and storage of data on each and eveyone of us is down right invasive! The spectrum of this ranges from information gatherd and stored (now up to fifteen years) on all movement to and from our boarders of all US citizens. Yup, every trip, vacation is now now cataloged and if the need/want arises it can be accessed even for use in civil lawsuits, such as divorce. Im not quite sure how this protects our country!. The now, hundreds of thousand of surveillance cameras installed all over cities, towns, highways, airports, and vertually everywhere else is now like walking into any major casino were you can be tracked EVERY WHERE except while seated on the thrown. Thats probably only because they couldn't stomach what they would have to see! The first time your picture is taken it is cataloged in your file. Then each and every time your face shows up in a photo and it's developed by any means besides you personally developing it, a new computer "face recognition" computer program matches your face to the one stored it gives time, date and place of photograph. Yes, you could be at a ball game and someone ten rows away snaps a photo of their friend and you happen to be in the background that computer will pick you out and now they have a record of you being there! Do not think for one second that this is not the "Whole truth and noth'n but the truth" so help me God! So much for "liberty". It's a good thing Patrick Henry isn't alive and a citizen today........You know what he said? NewHampshire liscence plates will remind you. I guess the choice would be easy to make but hard to "live" with. The Happiness part is the saddest off all. What is life without happiness? Now happiness can mean so many different things and levels. Heck, John McCain thinks you not considerd rich unless you have 5,ooo,ooo (yup thats 5 miilion) dollars. I guess that leaves me out...... happiness for 40,000 (yup forty thousand) of Americans is not having to go to bed hungry that night or having to suffer the pain of an ailment because they are without money or insurance to pay for the medicine. This is your land this my land...........

I will tell you all what means shortly. First, I apologize for not responding to the recent comments I've recieved here, I had taken a brief pause from paddling here on the stream. I will do my best to get caught up with those wonderful people that take the time to read my posts and leave thought provoking comments. You folks are the reason I continue to blog. I may have taken a repose from posting but not a single minute of my thoughts about our current place and time was pendent. There is so much to voice my concern/disguest with that I having trouble deciding what is most pressing. Maybe the hugh signal Russia(The new/old Russia) sent the US and the rest of the world that "their back". They are angry with us for putting a missle "defence" system in their back yard, Poland, as they rightfully should be. We were the agressor first. I think we once got a little hot under the collar when Russia tried the same in Cuba! Seems like Bush forgot about his little weekend get together with Putin in Maine last summer when he told everyone in a press confrence,
"I have looked into the eyes of this man(Putin) and I see a man I can trust"! Now, dont get me wrong, Russia is fully aware that the statement that they were making when the invaded Georgia was that they no longer fear the US or it's allies. Not that they ever really did. They know we were powerless to stop because we are stretched to our limits militarily and our economy is no longer strong enough to threaten embargos or other sanctions for that matter. I'm now a bit concerned that the next war with them wont be so "Cold". Now, on to my utter distain for Big Oil. You all have noticed that the price at the pumps have fallen a little lately well don't be fooled(we give them reason to belive that we are with our actions)The price is not going to go much lower and it will again begin rise. This is all part of their scam. OPEC will begin to cut production and we will see more "routine" shut downs of refineries here in the US by EXXON/MOBIL for maintence, upgrades, or like the fake concern for tropical storm Fay they used as reason to shut down their largest refinery located in Texas. Funny that Nuclear power plant located near bye wasn't concerned. The realistate meltdown is not done melting and I am watching intently to see if our gov uses our tax dollars to bailout their friends Freddy and Fanny. Now, what can I say about the elections......you are going here much more about that subject from me in my next post. But, I will mention how far of path "We the people" have been led astray. Does anyone remember that there is supposed to be, with very good cause, a seperation of church and state? THEN WHY DID THE FIRST PUBLIC FORUM INVOLVING BOTH CANIDATES REVOLVE SOLELY AROUND FAITH? Well, Barack agreed because he wants to set the record straight that he is not nor has he ever been a Muslim. If I were one of the millions of American citizens who just happened to be Muslim I would be hurt, insulted and down right peeved and would have just cause to be so! Maybe we need a Muslim President to make peace with the Billions of Muslims in the world hell bent on getting rid of us. I WILL REPEAT MYSELF, THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA REPRESENTS ALL AMERICANS EQUELLY AND THAT INCLUDES THE DOZENS OF DIFFERENT FAITHS THAT AMERICANS FOLLOW!
