What was once out of mind because it remained out of sight will soon be impossible to ignore...as it bangs on your front door! War has now broken out on every continent that is capable of hosting a war. The two remaining conflict free continents are Antarctica(talk about cold war!) and Australia(If its war it must civil) Is there really any such thing as a "civil" war? The most recent inclusion into The Worlds wars. Columbia, Venezuela and Ecuador. Without getting into detail on the why and how it started. What I'm going talk about is the "what" as in what effect will that have on me and should I do as I've done and simple dismiss it as "out of sight" out of..........Well, The price of a barrel of oil has once again reached an all time high of 104 dollars. It is most likely going to continue on that path with small dips every now and then. We WILL see 4.00/gal before the close of 2008. The increase is partly due to that "out of sight" war in South America. Venezuela (Citgo) is a major player in the world of oil. Fears of an interruption due to this conflict are showing its effect on price. Weather, exacerbated by the burning of oil, in the form of fossil fuel and emissions from manufacturing of petrochemical products, are the primary cause for the harsh winter being experienced in the Northern hemisphere, along with the drought in many southern states. All these variables are keeping the demand for crude at an all time high. Now, couple that with the Dollar falling against the Euro and OPEC refusing President Bush's plea to increase production to help our staggering(recession) economy and you are now getting a glimpse into our future. I say a glimpse because what is coming is beyond any of your wildest imaginations! Our idiotic and naive increasing dependence on a product that we rely almost solely on other countries to provide to us is economic suicide and just down right insane! It is going to cause what has been termed "End of Empire"(US Empire). What you don't know will kill you.... so you better get educated quick! Unfortunately, we've waited too long and these issues may no longer be correctable, not because there is not a solution, but the sacrifices needed are too great for the majority of people whom show no sign of willingness. So demise is now probably inevitable. At least if you educate yourself you will see it coming and have AN OPPERUNITY TO DUCK!
