AS FLORIDA GOES SO GOES THE WORLD.......

I'm going to illuminate a FACT that should make you stop and think for a moment about your involvement and contribution to the health of our planet. Every 20 minutes we lose one species to extinction ! That's extinction meaning never to grace this world again. In the time that it took me to write this, another species has disappeared. If you calculate it that's 72 extinctions per day! Now multiply that by year and you will see the gravity of it. I wonder were we fit in and on which day it will be our turn? At least we only have our selves to blame, can you imagine how angry we would be towards another species that was causing our demise? For more on the environment and what needs to be done, check out Cosmic Painter. As of right now you must look at yourself and take a side in the battle. Your either part of the solution or your part of the problem. Florida has all the makings to be a role model on how the ave citizens can band together under one common cause. There are many climate changing events(both causes and effects) showing up in the south east. from severe drought to strange behaviors showing up amoug the animals.

 Seasons Greetings

A wish place delicately upon star- I wish for you all to bask in the warmth that comes from an abundance of laughter surrounded bye a room filed with loved ones. To strengthen your compassion for those less fortunate and your acceptance for those that are different. To feast on the sights, sounds and smells that make this holiday what it is and are often over looked. The crackle of an open fire, the sound of pots and pans and dishes in a crowded kitchen preparing The Christmas feast. The sounds of children being children. The chorus of voices all talking at the same time, The smell of wood burning flavoring the scent of food as it enters your nose. The squeaky noise the snow makes when walking on a cold clear night. The warm glow of a holiday lit house surrounded bye the darkness of night and finally take a moment to yourself and find a spot were you can appreciate the symphony of silence and reflect.........peace to all and happiest of holiday all. Love Joram

Maybe PERSPECTIVE is the hard to find silver lining?

The Tragedy the occurred in the Mall in Omaha Nebraska is not just a random act of violence. Can an event that happens multiple times a week, if not more, really be considered random? Sure it doesn't happen in the same place or even the same Country, but some individual with a personal vendetta blows themselves up, goes on a shooting rampage and kills innocent people in the act of doing their daily routine. This is a daily event in the Middle East. Riding the transit system, shopping for groceries at the local market are now tasks that could take your life. As "soft" targets these places are never going to be 100% secure. There are too many to protect them all. In a recent trip to Israel I was acutely aware of the effort the Israeli police go through to try and prevent such attacks. We are a million miles away as far as security in those "Soft" targets. Nine human beings had their lives abruptly snuffed out by whats is becoming more and more common. Mental illness plays an increasing role as well as extremists, who have to have a mental illness to strap a bomb to their body and search for a crowded gathering place like a shopping mall/supermarket and detonate it.

End of the hurricane season....".And say hello to my little friend" Al Pacino(Scarface)

I had made a prediction at the onset of the Hurricane season(Early JUNE), contrary to predictions of the Natl Weather Service and Natl Hurricane center both who predicted a busy hurricane season. Now, I know its just a coincidence like all my other forecasts but hey......who's forecast was closer to actual numbers? Go see WHY I predicted less storms in Cosmic Painter and ck out my post Scientists Lack Common Sense, there by making them dangerous! Dec 3 07- Winter in the northern hemisphere will be especially harsh this year do to several factors, all of which were either created or exacerbated by human actions.........better pull out the long undies and the flannel Jaymee's. This will be felt even harder bye the fact that home heating oil is at a record high. BRRRRRRRRR! PS Who is "my little friend"? La Nina DEC 29, 2007- December appears to be the snowiest DEC on record........what a surprise! Another coincidence????? JAN 4 "Hell hath no fury like that of a women scorned" Mother Nature ain't happy. Jan 26 Everyone tired of winter? Well, sorry to inform you that Punctilio Phil will have to postpone his shadow seeking event, he is snowed in.....So instead of looking for his shadow he will be busy making snow angels. Also, watch for out of the "Normal" extreme weather events world wide, especioally India and China........
